The Anorak Zone relaunched...

Postby Anorak on Mon Nov 02, 2009 3:45 pm

I spent most of the weekend redoing the opening page of the site (I know), but had to go out last night before I could tell anyone about it:

http://www.anorakzone.com/

I thought it was overdue an update, so there we go. While I intend to have more at the top of the site (incl. an FAQ) this is it for now. I've also created a new store for the site. Also, the Randall & Hopkirk area is temporarily down as I need to repay the domain fees - oops!

Sapphire & Steel section still down... it's like old times :lol

Seriously, though, well done for staying afloat :thumbsup my site died last week, and I'm still wondering about what to do next (a blog, prob'ly, but where?).

EDIT - actually, all that is irrelevant, isn't it, you've just effectively repainted your front door. Very nice.

Yahoo shut down Geocities to save money :headinhands I did save my telly reviews, but left those for books and BFs because a) I was short of time, and b) I thought 'why bother?'

Since Sidey hasn't replied yet I'll tell you.

Nothing for free. The f***ers want you to pay for it now.

I f***ed off my geocities ages ago simply cos it was a shit interface and they had weird restrictions on file types and things that I just couldn't be f***ed bothering with. In fact I find Yahoo generally pretty f***ing useless; the old email accounts I still have with them now get filtered through my Gmail and Gmail routinely pics up shit that Yahoo doesn't, flagging it as a potential threat. Yahoo's search capacity isn't worth dog cock and their site is so f***ing cluttered you can't find anything.

There are heaps of free site hosting out there way better.

Oh and your site?
Well you already know what I think.

Why do you deny your true nature??

You're like a closeted gay man in a bath house saying he's only there for the sauna.

Well I dunno why I made so much of that now, but I've never felt the need to do a Who site, because there's so many out there. An official AZ one, I mean.

But if anyone says to me "you're a hater, you don't like a lot of new who" then f*** it... this isn't a Who site anyway, so why do I have to?

Yeah, but face it, you're a Who fan first and foremost. Most of your posts are about Who in one way or another. You may not be running a Who site, but why bury it?

And you suck the c0cks of strangers in public places.

I do like Who, but I'm just making it clear that I don't have a Who site, just a section about it on the forum.

I might remove that paragraph as it's not really what the thread's about anyway. I dunno why I even mentioned it, really.
