Kroll yes, I'd forgotten all about that till you mentioned it. That's another reason why I liked Harvest so much. It's an unpopular view but I'm sticking to it.

I was once at a Dr.Who Con and someone was screening Kairos and the audience p*ssed their pants laughing at the ant, and I recall thinking the "tough" dialog was rather corny for being so amazingly "tough" that it seemed like a send-up...but people were still right into it and watched it to the end. I think that sums up BBC SF, really, you laugh at it's corniness and cheapness and cringe at bits and yet...somehow it's utterly compelling, addictive viewing you just cannot get enough of.
