Ok, so I gather this is not well liked in B7 fandom? How come? Is it becuase the characterisation is so off (I must admit I did a double take at Avon's suggestion to bust the casino with Vila, but then on reflection, considering how antagonistic he is towards Blake, this is a perfect way to get at him, but then Blake never knows about it....). Aside from the characterisation, I love it. Talk about a who's who of Doctor Who actors in this, written by the greatest script writer old Who had. Just when I thought no one else could turn up in it, bloody Bill Filer from Claws of Axos pops up, still with the same dodgy haircut. Anyone else want to claw their eyes out when the crupier comes on in bloomers? Servalan wouldn't want to sneeze in that dress either.

I love ze KLUT!!!! It's just such a grotesque bunch of characters, I love it. A brilliant move to have Mardi Gras based around Regency England. It's a B7 story I never tire of watching.

I know nothing about Blake's 7 fandom (I've liked the show since broadcast and seen it many times, but never wanted anything to do with it's fandom) but I had got the impression this episode wasn't well liked. I could be wrong....

I remember I used to like it. Then a few years ago I picked up The Second Series cheap on DVD I hadn't watched B7 for years at this time. I had recently succesfully converted the missus to be a Old Who fan. So I tried the same with Blakes 7. I chose this episode because I remembered it as being one of the best but she was far from impressed and ever since has resisted my further attempts at showing her Blakes 7.

It wasn't as good as I remembered it but its not terrible just not up to Holmes normal standard.

Hmmm, while I think it is a very good epiosde, I can certainly concede that it might not be the best one to show to someone unfamiliar with Blakes 7.
